Description
The Blue Sea Systems 285-Series Circuit Breaker – Surface Mount 120A (Part No. 7188) provides medium-duty overcurrent protection for marine DC electrical systems where circuit protection and manual switching are both required.
Designed for surface mounting, this thermal circuit breaker uses a thermally responsive bi-metal blade to interrupt current when an overload causes it to trip. The visible reset lever indicates an open circuit, while the trip-free mechanism prevents the breaker from being held closed after tripping.
The 285-Series is a drop-in replacement for compatible 185-Series circuit breakers. Its weather-resistant, ignition-protected design makes it suitable for marine environments, including installation aboard gasoline-powered boats.
